Exercise on a Regular Basis is an Important Part of Staying Healthy and Weight Control

Regular Exercise is an Important Part of Staying Healthy and Maintaining a Healthy Weight

A recent study 'A 45-minute vigorous exercise bout increases metabolic rate for 14 hours' suggests that the extra calories burned during exercises are not only burned while doing the exercise. Researchers found that up to an additional 37% of extra energy was used in the hours following the exercise.

An Series of Two Days of Examples for What Happened

Day 1 you rested and did not exercise. Day 2 if you ran for 45 minutes and burned 560 calories during the run, over the next 14 hours your resting metabolic rate would be higher from the exercises compared to Day1 with no exercise. This increase results in more calories burned during rest. Over the next 14 hours of Day 2 your body could burn up to 207 more calories at rest compared to Day 1. This study suggests regular exercise can help raise your body’s metabolism to control and maintain one’s weight.

Think Chiropractic for Nasal and Sinus Congestion

Sinus Congestion is Likely to Follow Fall Weather

With fall finally here, sinus congestion will likely be soon to follow. As the
weather grows colder, the chances of catching a head cold and developing nasal
and sinus congestion grow as well.

Congregating for Longer Periods of Time in the Fall Allows Us to Spread More Germs Quickly

Many people used to think that it was the cold air itself that caused people to get sick in the fall and winter months. However, it’s been found that it’s probably due to the fact that we tend to congregate
indoors in larger groups for longer periods of times, in turn; this allows us to spread germs more quickly when people are sick.

Chiropractic Adjustments can Help Relieve Pressure from Sinus

Instead of reaching for the cold medicine this winter, think about a chiropractic adjustment. Adjustments of the upper cervical region as well as special techniques can be applied to the various sinuses to help relieve pressure as well as cause drainage. Don’t believe it?

Ask Dr. Kmett to help relieve your congestion and see for yourself!
